Summer
In the summer the Kalahari climate is said to be either hot and wet or hot and dry. When the weather is hot and dry, there is a lot of heat and little to no moisture. Temperatures can reach up to 109°F but the weather gets cooler towards nighttime. When the climate is hot and wet, there is usually unpredictable patterns of rainfall during the afternoon and evaporation usually occurs more then rainfall. Sometimes rain begins to evaporate before it even touches the ground. The solar radiation in this area around the summer time is twice the normal amount.
